This guy has 4 ad units on one page

I only see ad 3 units plus link ads.

 

try clicking on kitchen->design menu

 

I just found 4 on Kitchen>Design.. I assume he is using a frame and will get banned.

 

no problem, you may place up to 3 ad units and 3 link units on 1 page.

 

I thought that too. It might be that he is using chitika and then chitika doesn;t have any d so they display adsense instead of that Anyways the guy is in real trouble. He is a big one though, I don't think Google will make an exception for him.

There's actually 5. If you scroll to the bottom he has the search bar. It's a modified search bar also.

But I think it's a loop hole. You can have 3 ad BLOCKS and an ad strip. I'm not sure of the exact TOS with how many ad unit types you can use. He may have found a loop hole.

 

He only has 3 ad blocks. the other's are ad strips and search bars.

 

Oh wait.... I see it now. He has 2 ad blocks, 2 image blocks, 2 link ads, and 1 search ad.

The thing is that he just can't have it. Google will never display 4 ads even if you intentionally put them on one page. I wonder what is special about that page.

 

I think he is using a frame to make adsense display the extra unit. I see 4 units when I click on Kitchen > Design. This is against the TOS of Google Adsense. Only 3 ad units are allowed per page I think they should reword it as "Only 3 ad units are allowed per display" to cover usage of frames.

 

That will attract issues of above the fold and below the fold.

 

even if you display more ad units they won't show.

 

I just checked his search bars and they aren't real google search bars. They will send you to a separate page on his sight which has more ads.

He's probably breaking some rules for that.

The ad on the left, under his column, is kinda shady though. I'm hovering over it and it doesn't say "googleads.g.doubleclick.net"

 

Dude! No offense but that is totally wrong info. The ads are indeed google ads and I see that address when I hover over. Additionally, the search bar is fine too it is adsense for search. It is good and one should use it. I use it myself check out the blogs in my sign. It gets me around $5-$10 bucks a day.

 

I can't post links yet but look at the background image url of your search bar. It says google com/blah/blah/blah

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to alter the images for adsense. Meaning..... Not real adsense search bars.
