stumble upon

I noticed an earlier post talking about how great stumble upon is...is anyone out there still using this and why would people take the time to go this route instead of the conventional search engine route?

 

look at how much spam is on search engines. stumble upon generally comes with better quality results.

 

Su is better than digg , perhaps su evens out the traffic which digg throws at you in a go

 

I used stumbleupon and obviously it is more good than all of the other SBM sites on the net.Stumbleupon can do a good job in terms of traffic.

 

use it for instant traffic. but by no way su traffic can be compared to serp traffic, serp traffic is always best.

 

I have used su for my sites but have never got any good results.

 

SU was ok but they started charging, so not really worth it. We had a good legit account and they froze it demanding money, what a joke. (never did any spam or blackhate, all legit)

 

stumbleupon is one of the best social bookmarking site..brings good traffic that leads to good conversion

 

Yep Stumble upon has worked for me better than any other social site, 1 article has received 12k page views so far.

But the traffic is fleeting and doesn't stay for long or doesn't earn much money in my experience.

But you may get some links from it, so there is no harm in trying.

Always submit your best content, choose 1 or 2 categories at the most, make sure the page has a good picture or something to grab their attention.

 

I stated using SU just a week ago... find it great, its search results are much better than ones of search engines, for example comparing spam ratio in them.

SU is a good diversion from all that other SEO work you do. It complements everything you do. It is all part of the site promotion puzzle!

 

The thing is that most of the people are now joining social networking websites and they find it useful to get information about anything and even recommendations.

StumbleUpon is great as optimizing your website in this website is quite well. You are sure to get traffic and even backlinks. You should try to give as much time as you can and understanding the website as how it works.

Well, you basically just submit your pages to it.

 

it provides instant traffic , but not targgeted traffic!

 

Not targeted? So what is the traffic? lol.....

 

SU can give you a great amount of traffic at times but I find that the time on site statistics are a lot lower than organic search engine traffic, but still one of my best sources of traffic.

 

Stumble Upon can give you traffic, but it depends on how interesting
your post is.. I once Stumble a website and it generates a traffic
in just one day.. we thought it was spam since the backlinks came
from SU but it's not
