Best Way to Promote Site

Like to know what everybody thinks is the best way to promote your site? My favorite is Press Releases and Twitter. How about you???

 

Article marketing is working okay for me. But it takes time to see results when compared with Twitter/other networking sites

 

I will prefer to do SEO method..
On page optimization : improve and modifying keyword in URL, Title, Content, Keyword tags ..
Off page Optimization : social bookmarking , social networking, forum submission, article submission, press release, internet marketing, ect...

I use Twitter as well. I tried article marketing and it didn't work very well for me.

I also have a blog on Wordpress that I use to post relevant information about my site and news. It tends to index rather well.

 

I am doing Press Release Submission and forum posting for my site its helps me a lot and i am also posting my site on social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, My Space etc. This all things are really helpful. I am easily getting back links and traffic form all this activities.

 

Social bookmarking helps a lot in promoting the site.

 

I am curious about one thing... As you said, joomladevs.com, you use facebook for your site promotion. Facebook links are nofollow. People usually avoid to place links on nofollow sites but I see in Webmaster Tools that Google fetches these links. I am a bit confused. The common picture we get when we talk about nofollow is this one:

Google sees nofollowed link on some site but it doesn't follow it further thus not giving any value to it. But we can see that Google provides us information about this link so it seems that nofollowed link is not worthless. It is seen and Google knows of it.

So, according to this, do you use facebook only to gain some traffic or also you think you get some SEO value? I place my site's links on nofollow sites despite the fact that they are nofollow. I think that they are not as worthless as people usually think.

 

1. Content is king. Build useful and unique content about your topic.
2. Exchange links with other sites that have a similar topic. This increases your visibility on the web and the more sites that link to yours the higher you will rank in the search engines.
3. Submit your articles to article directories. This will give you the chance to publish your content on other sites and it will provide a one way link to your site.
4. Blogging. Start a blog on your website and also respond to other blogs or forums on other websites to get your name out there and to establish credibility.
5. Directories. Submit your site to directories. Some directories will allow you to submit your site for free while others will require a one time fee to be included.

 

According to me you have to do every thing to increase your page rank in google like social bookmarking,articles writing,blog posting,directory posting etc..etc.. and one of the key part is on page optimization.

 

Social bookmarking , Forum submission, article submission and others link building techniques.

 

Answering questions on Yahoo Answers is another nice way to promote your site.

 

Forum Posting , Classified Posting , target mailing and Skype Directory help me a lot.

I like to use Social bookmark and forums, the links more nature look.

Articles and forum backlinks are the best I think... I dont really give too much credit to Social Media but only to get a name out there
