facebook, update regular you page and visit regular to other related sited of your target, do commenting on the articles and on others comment. twitter is also one of the best social site, but for this you have to mentain very decent profile, otherwise no one will follow the page.

 

facebook and twitter, of course ! But you got to have lots of friends and follower to gain big traffic !

I disagree facebook is the worst traffic generating website for me.

 

what method are you using, because getting 10 - 20 thousand hits a day is easy, all from non spam tactics.

 

Are you referring to setting up a FB app of some kind?
Would love to know how one gets that kind of traffic from white-hat techniques.

 

about a month ago i would have said twitter. but recently i've been looking at fan pages from bloggers and Ive noticed allot of web traffic is generated from just facebook fans alone. also maybe its just me, but twitter sends out fake clicks @ times. i don't know, maybe its just me.

 

I still don't have any doubts with this. If you are interested to bring instant traffic to your blogs/websites the perfect way is to maintain a great quality twitter profile.

They aren't fake clicks- they are search bots.
Not sure how that works instantly, but Google, Yahoo, MSN and Amazon something or other start crawling all over the tweets.

 

Traffic from social media sites like Twitter Myspace and facebook are supposed to be good if you have good viral content. Ultiamtely it all depends on how virally good your content is, rather than the actual social tool itself.

 

When you guys talk about traffic from Facebook, are you using Facebook ads (paid) or are you using free techniques?
