What should i do

Well i have just made a new energy saving search engine:

Should i keep the clean site looking like it does or add ads? Im using adsense for search which i hear has good ctr. Should i just keep that or what?

I'd have thought this sort of site will do better promoting affiliate programmes from the energy providers?

 

Hey Mate,

I suggest you keep the site clean for now until you build up a substantial amount of traffic. filling up your site with ads might ditter anyone who comes to your site.

If you want to put adds, put it in the search results page and not on the actual search page just like what Google does. put it somewhere out of the way of the actual content of your search results but still close enough so that they dont have to move the cursor to far to reach the ads (trust me, you have no idea how much that ups the conversion rate

I like your concept, Its very cool, but I suggest you center your text box to the middle of the page instead of having it on the lower part of the screen cus it ads and un-comforting void on the top. Neways, I've seen that google also has an energy saving screen you might want to look at it: http://www.blackle.com/
