Please review my ad placements

I've been lurking over these forums for awhile now but never posted anything. I've learned a lot from it though...

Using some techniques I've picked up from reading the forums I think I've done a decent job with blending and placement but I'd like some advice from the more experienced adsensers.

In the random joke section of the index I've made it so that if the joke has less than 250 characters it'll display an ad below the text (to fill out the page) and if it's more than 250 chars it'll show a vertical banner inside of the text. Is that within ToS?

Also, the bottom leaderboard on the index... those red checkboxes above it are within ToS? I made sure to use a border because I heard thats the only way to keep it within ToS.

Also you can see the ads on the right side of the page on the user and individial joke pages.

I have floated the ads inside the text on the voting page. Does anyone have experience with this? Will readers eyes just glance over it or will they stop to read it? I've become immune to it because 1. I know its there 2. I've been looking at these pages for the last few weeks.

I dont think there is a problem with the TOS since you are not manipulating the ads but only your website code.

That should not be a problem either since there is a visible border between the images and the ads.

You can try a different color combination since the actual text is bolder and the ad is of a lighter color.. it does get less prominent.

Links ads are fine but how many of you really earn from them?
