site flipping can make you good money, ive bought several sites here on dp for under $100 and flipped them on flippa.com for $500-2500

just depends on the type of website you buy and what you do with them in the beginning to improve them before reselling

That is a loaded question. In a good economy, site flipping can be profitable.

However, in this market. You have to hold on to sites longer and deal with more people trying to haggle you down on your price. Instead of selling a site in a few weeks, it now can take a few months. Especially if you have a site of any value.

Those small junk starter sites for $25/50/100 you can still sell I am sure. However, I see a lot of pump and dumps on the market. Not just here, but on other sites as well.

That said, if the site is worth more than $500.00 (especially into thousands), I would advise you to plan on holding it longer as you try and find a quality buyer.

    Good luck

Yes it does work, however its not a rule of thumb, it depends on a few things. Carefull selection of the site to buy, judging its actual potential and you need to know whether you can really add value to the existing business model.
    Hope this helps... :)

The people who make money from flipping are the people who hype the potential of flipping to make money i.e. there's more money in convincing others there's money in flipping than in actually doing any flipping yourself.

My suggestion: Give up ideas of flipping and build a quality website with useful content and learn how to monetise it properly.

You need some experience to be able to make changes to your site and work on improving its traffic.

Its ok and profitable except for the skills and that can be aquired.

Site flipping can definitely bring money. But like any other business hardwork is associated here also. I tried this. But didn't work for me. At sedo I could see that guys are getting more than 3-4k per month with a few domains. the reason is they knew business and they are experienced. I'm not at both.

also another important thing is connections. As a query with successful domain flippers shows that they get more than 50% of their business from their previous connections.

Also luck plays an important role. It's luck that you get the right guy who is looking for the name you have (in his business subject) If this works he don't mind getting the domain from you leaving a few extra bucks.

But so far its a loss for me. Not much, I just put a few hundreds over there. The return was a little experience and a few domains.

Try yourself, you will definitely find some good methods to work this out. :)

I know someone who makes about $2,000/month creating and selling websites. But he has to create and sell an average of 5 sites/month. Some sites don't sell very high but some of his sites sell for thousands.

If you know what you are doing, flipping sites can be extremely profitable. It's all about finding the right product to do it with.

Yes it is, just like any other buisness, but only if done seriously and properly. You need to gain a lot of deep knowledge from various sources.
