You can try Prestashop if you start or Virtuemart + Joomla but it needs more work.

Thanks Revelations-Decoder. I guess this forums needs Prestashop section:) Presta has really fast growing user community. To stay honest i have to tell, yes, Presta is free system but many extensions are commercial. Even very basics extensions cost usually around 50 Euros.

    No worries CylonX

I have had a couple of installations of Prestashop and much prefer even it's basic form to zen or oscommerce and the likes, and like you say many of the addons etc will cost, but the same applies to most things I find. In fact the only thing I find that has the most free addons etc is WorPress so I suppose that is another option though not exactly a shop cart without either some work and learning for some of the free shop cart addons or paying for other shop cart addons available as well.

I still like Prestashop as an out of the box shop cart personally though as it is simple to learn how to use and my only complaint (last time Ilooked) is that they dont have a text link back to the home page with the option in admin to have that text link as a /folder - that would make the basic prestashhop almost sublime what with it's Apple like look that it comes in in its standard form.

If they added four or five other skin versions (colour shcmes) as standard I think the french made prestashop would be a hard shop cart to beat tbh!

Looked at Magento yet? By far my favorite cart for physical goods. Many 3rd party supports.

I am not worried:). I personally use Prestashop and i like it. You are right, a few next skins in installation package would be a great idea.

Can you show me some of your Prestashop sites? Thanks.

Not presently they are gone (sold or domains lapsed due to time constraints) but one of my hosting customers still has one I installed, though what she did with it I have no idea www.one-eyed-fish.com is her URL and the basic prestashop site will be in there somewhere from the homepage. I only aded her a logo and she got on with things but didn't really seem to know a great deal about what she was doing so who knows how she is getting on or what stock she has on board.

I also got the pictures sorted for her and installed the large picture in the centre on the shop cart. And a couple of other things sorted for her but she didn't really have the money or the stock for me to help her out more than I did.

Yours is looking good CyclonX! I saw that there was a 1.3 but like you have not installed it anywhere yet to see what's new. I found the ackend/admin much nicer than the likes of OScommerce etc though when I first came across it and took to it almost instantly.

Personally I would like to see it in cPanel.
