there are some great points. however doing business with forums aint that simple. its takes real dedication with the forum to make it a success. thats why only a handful of them are successful.

 

I think that your forum is doing really well. Can you post a link, would be interesting to take a look.

 

In theory this is all said and easy, such as Digitalpoint, but when trying to create a unique and active community, that's when it gets hard. However, when you do create an active forum, the benefits are so outstanding!

How can to be an administrator on a couple of forums? We can join and be a member in several forums, but how can we be a administrator?

 

To be an administrator you have to own the forum or run it for somebody.

 

Nice thread. Interesting to read about the importance of forums. It is really helpful to get automatic traffic to your websites. Creating own forum is little bit difficult one I think.

You have to do the work yourself: Post threads, reply to people that come, and market it - social media, social networks, other forums - as long as you're not spamming your url up, really advertise it hard....A lot of passion = Rewards.

 

It is hard to build a forum. You must spend much money and time before it is large. It is useless if you have a forum but there is no member or just a few member.

Take for example why digitalpoint forums is a good place. There are many members on here who are dedicated and love reading other member's posts.

Another reason, is that they are unique in that they have a very active marketplace. You need to have something that stands out and will benefit for everyone.

 

I started a forum a while back and I totally failed.

I figured that much. I was trying articles and youtube.
I had about a dozen videos..but NADA

that aint so simple, you would need much, much, and much time !

 

You need something that's UNIQUE!!!

There are a ton of forums out there, think about what will make your users go ... "oh I think I'll sign up today!"

Get something of value that could help them, and in return help yourself.

Articles and youtube videos don't work. You need to have UNIQUE content and quality for a forum to blast off properly.
