Depends on who you're going to build a fansite for. If it's someone no one has heard of, your traffic will be minimum, which translates into low earnings. If it's for someone really popular, you'll have to slug it out in the SE's for traffic, and your earnings will still be low. Basically, you have to do a fansite on someone enough people know about but not enough people has build sites for yet in order to make a decent income. Sometimes the best way to get into these "entertainment" markets is to do a broad spectrum "celebirty site". Either way, no one can tell you how much you CAN make; and don't think it's easy. You need to constantly add content to keep the site fresh and people coming in.

I have an entertainment site that I update frequently with new photos from Wireimage.com and other wire services. I serve new photos every morning and I update during the day. My traffic has spiked over 130k and I earn over $1K a month. It can be done. :D

Thanks for the advice. Before creating the site I've made sure I did my homework. The artist is very popular in SE(traffic are huge) but I don't know in USA if they are popular. So I might be specific my question a little bit? Does fan site really generate good $$$$ even if it's a fan site? I mean does content site and fan sites clicks per day isn't that much the same? Is it really worth it to create a fan site for adsense? Wasn't sure about this one that's why I ask DP members with fan sites on how much earnings does a fan site generates. Just give me a clue on how much is your earnings in fan site.
    Thanks.

There is no set amount. You'll make what you put into it. If you work hard enough, promote it, add content everyday, you can probbaly do okay with a fansite AFTER A WHILE (i.e. when it hits the SE's, etc.) You're not going to retire off it, so get that out of your mind right now. In the end, how much potential this fansite has depends on how much traffic you get, and how long you stick with it. If you expect $100s/day in a week or even a month then you're daydreaming. But if you can see yourself doing it for a year or more, then you'll slowly build up the traffic, your site will age and you'll climb higher in the SERPs, etc. But if this is just to make a quick buck, forget about it; you'll never have the energy to constantly update it, and without constantly updated content, you'll never grab any loyal visitors who will promote your site by way of word of mouth.

Khasmoth, you will be ok if you add new content everyday. That's the key. Keeping your site fresh with new and unique content. You will do well with organic searches. The search engines are going to love you.

Not fan sites, but celebrity sites like PerezHilton or Pink Is The New Blog are making very good money from people that buy ads on their site. Perez charges $22,000 a month to advertise on his site. I know its crazy, but he has good traffic.

If your fan site becomes popular, you can sell your own ad space and make very good money.
