Please Review These Ebook Covers

Hey PPl,

Could you please review these ebook covers. There is subtle difference in added text. I want to know which one looks best with respect to design and added text, Ecover_blogging, web_copy, web_copy_1 or web_copy_2.

I think the last one, Ecover_blogging, is the worst. Incidently that was the one i had made at very first.

Should i be adding my site url elswhere??

Nothing interesting... Last one is the worse one!

 

All of them are extremely hard to read...You need to make the background either simpler or a lot less opaque

Well this is my very first work so i don't expect to make a very great design. However, what if i remove all the fancy graphics and use a opaque background with matching colours to the text and leave the design as it is. which font i should use.

One thing i would like to tell here is that i am not a professional designer but i am doing this for my own work. So please give me some suggestions, if you have experience in this.

 

Where is the option for "none of the above"?

The best ones I have seen always seem to have a white background and maybe one very clear picture (with the background completely cropped out)

I don't think a full color background works well at all.

Remember, your main aim is for the title to stand out and persuade people to buy it.

 

yea, background must be light and simple, don't use pictures! it is hard to seek apropriate pic... use gradients and colors, but like i said LIGHT...

 

thanks for suggestions. i think i was misguided by a similar cover i found while surfing. just now i have found another set of covers which proves yfs1's point.

i will try some more. if it is done, well and good, else, i will have to dash it off to some professional designer. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

btw how much will it cost if i get it done by a professional.

 

Not much....There is a user "Corena" here that does lots of ebook covers. If you let her know one (or a few) you like she could design one for you.

Take a look at alteregos link...Those are really good. Clear crisp and you can tell what its for within 1 second.

I think i should be sorry. i did mention that i would "rush it up to someone"; but i did'nt actually mean that.

Actually i won't make any money out of this yet i need it for business purpose and the urgency made me to scribble that perhaps.
