    Hi to all,

    I need your help guys.

A client has asked me to work with base rate plus performance pay (commission for each sold package).

My consulting activity will be to manage seo and ppc activity.

Consider that I don't have a direct control on the final selling as it can be done only through direct contact with my client.

Which commission would you ask for each sold package?

Thanks to all for your help

Normally people will ask for around 20 to 30% of the profit margin.

    Thanks for your reply.

Alfa: what do you mean with "buy the percentage"?

Mentos: isn't the percentage that you wrote to high? Usually 20-30% is an usual sales commission.

I tought to ask 1 or 2 % of commission?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

That is the problem with your question. Every product and every industry has unique margins that are common in that business. There are businesses where 1% is a good deal, and others where 50% is too low. No one can give you a realistic answer without industry and product information. This is an extremely naive question and demonstrates your lack of business knowledge.
