It's official data. I think if you want to apply CS5, you'd better upgrade your PC.

It's tough to imagine 1 GB of RAM wouldn't just get bogged down running any version of PS. I'm looking forward to CS5 though, I hope it lives up to the hype.

The most amazing thing about it was on the preview where they moved the horse, and it automatically filled in the background. That was fantastic.

Let's hope the integration of the suite is better than CS4. Acrobat (which oddly keep looking like it's developed separately and just shoved into the package) still cannot create a PDF from a Photoshop file. What's up with that.

Another example: double-clicking the desktop doesn't launch the open dialog box in all apps.
    I like uniformity.

I recommend getting the full creative suite 5 design premium which includes photoshop, flash, dreamweaver, indesign, acrobat and illustrator. Any designer will be set with all the tools they need.

I have teh CS5 as well, because i need it for my Photography class, and I don't get any of it. I have the CS4 as well, and still trying to figure out how it all goes together, I know there are tons of things there to do, but nothing came with instructions.. I am not too stupid, however I feel really stupid not knowing how to do any of this.. Is there a website that shows tutorials on how to play with your CS4 & 5?

A nice way to learn Photoshop is watching some video tutorials from Lynda.com. You start from being a beginner and do the exercises until you master the program. They also have lessons which include more advanced topics.
There are other companies that make video tutorials that are really good too and provide a structured learning experience - e.g. totaltraining.com or the "Photoshop Top Secret" titles.

Sites for artists, like deviantart.com, also have step by step tutorials on painting.
You can use youtube and other tens of sites to learn PS.

Lastly, you can use the build-in help for PS.

There are different workflows for Photoshop, depending on what you what to do. Some photographers prefer to start in Camera Raw and finish in Photoshop, others like digital painters start directly in PS.
