How are these placements for a forum?

My community has been growing at a good rate and I have decided to run Google AdSense ads. Currently the site revenues $.25 - $1.00/day. I have purchased a good amount of software by switching over to vBulletin, getting vBSeo, and others...I was hoping to increase my Google Adsense earnings so I can put more money towards the web site. What do you think about the Google Ads currently on the web site?

Right now they are only on the "forumhome" "forumdisplay" and "threaddisplay" pages. Do you think I should run more than 1 ad?? I used to have a second ad at the bottom of the page, but I hardly received any clicks. Do you think I should change the colors around??

All help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dude, I think that you have a good thing going for you with the forums, but frankly, you could be easily doing $10 a day (based on the traffic you seem to be getting) if you get some html pages on that site. Visitors typically don't click on ads in forums...they are there to discuss and debate. If you added pages to your site that were targeted to your forum topics, and used adsense on them, you would make MUCH more. All I use forums for on my other sites is for attracting debaters and the forum lovers. Other than that, they stink for adsense. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the suggestion...I was planning on keeping it just a forum based site, with some small features such as the arcade, maybe a gallery, etc..I would assume a forum like this one "digitalpoint" has setup it's ad structure where it does make a good amount of money through adsense. That's basically how I want to setup mine..just not sure if those ads are in the best places right now.

The leaderboard under the nav bar is good, keep that one there. Consider adding another leaderboard under the first post, that should increase your clicks a lot.

    Good luck!
