    You will find that half of the name brand products that you would find at Best Buy aren't available through dropshippers. Even if you could find them you can't compete with the big dogs. They have too much buying power.

    I don't have plan to start a jumbo store. I just want to sell few gaming related products. So i don't think so big dogs would be an issue for me. Besides even the largest company starts from zero.

    I guess Amazon affiliate program is good but there is one huge problem with them they make quarterly payments. My eyes are on PlayStation 3, I am sure this game console will be the hot product on this Christmas. If i join Amazon certainly i can many sales from my site.

    What you think about Amazon affiliate program.

    I sell bathroom radiators and pond products through a kinda dropshipping way.
    I just contact the wholesalers ask if they cater for online stores, they normally say yes and send a price guide.

    One I just email the company the order and address they send it out and invoice me once a week. The other I have to fax all orders then call them with my credit card details and then they despatch them for me.

    Try getting hold of a distributer or wholesaler you might be surprised how helpful they are (not sure what media are like but you don't know until you try). Make sure you have a site up and running as well this helps if you don't have any trade referances.

    Right now i am concentrating on my website's promotion. If i ever decided to sell something on my website Affiliate Programs will be my last choice.
