    Thanks for all of the very informative posts on this site, it's been a big help. I created my first blog several weeks ago and i'm finally starting to learn how all of this stuff works. Please check out my site and let me know what you think. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! :)

    My first tip would be to get your own domain and not use free services. Unless this is a throw away project, you should only put real time/effort into stuff you actually own.

    I use wordpress, so I'm not too familiar with blogspot software. If you can, make it so only previews of articles appear on the first page. Right now I would have to play Where's Waldo to find your AdSense ads.

    If money is your main focus, put an AdSense ad unit on top of the article.

    Thanks for your feedback. I know what you mean about getting your own domain name and I did, but I feel like i've already spent some decent time working on my blog and would hate to abandon it to try a new name. Check out my domain w/ wordpress installed, the content is same, but looks different:
