What are the techniques / methods to built relationship with supplier?

It is important because you will get the best pricing, you will find out about deals or specials, they may refer customers to you if someone contacts them directly. They will realize that you are a key to their success.

As far as how to build a relationship, simply communicate, respect them, pay bills on time, and support their business.

 

sure it is important. The material or goods from the supplier is directly affect your product quality, process cost and delivery time. and that's why the LEAN concepts being implemented to the supplier from the LEAN company to get on-time, quality and low cost product, this is win-win concepts.
To keep a good relationship with the supplier, it is actually same as what you do for your customer. Helps the supplier if any quality issue occur, not just complaining, and always provide ontime payment to your supplier are both very important.

 

Hi! I think that in the sphere of business each relationship is important because it influences your reputation. That's why t is necessary to aspire for positive relationships with all your partners and clients - real and potential. I think that suppliers are no an exception.

Yes its important.
I have been getting my supplier at 30% lower cost than my competitor.
I do treat my supplier some money when their company having cash flow difficulties.

 

of course it is important... If you keep good relation, you will get timely delivery and because of that you will manufacture on timely basis. It is most difficult in business to make and deliver goods on right time in the market. So by keeping good relation, you will be able to do on time...
