    Xoom.com
And if so, was it safe, secure, and how long have you been using them?

    Just wondering!

I sent a paypal payment to a forum member who did some illustration work for me here this week using Xoom. He didn't have paypal, but had Xoom. It was easy to sign up with, transaction was processed and sent to him within 24 hours. There was nothing about it that gave my internal "detector" a reason to worry about it.

Yes, that's the beauty of Xoom.com , it allows you to pay via Paypal and US credit card.

Xoom is a remittance service like Western Union, you really do not have an account balance per se. You pay someone via Xoom, the money gets to the person via direct transfer to his bank account, courier or pick up.

One more questions. Since Xoom is a remittance service like Western Union, does this mean the person recieving the money has to have an account with Xoom as well or is not needed? Just wondering! Still trying to figure this one all out!

Hey, No! The recipient does not need to sign up with xoom. Only the sender does.
