    Interesting mix of political bloggers and others. I think it depends on your niche. For example I think Danny Sullivan is influential and Matt Cutts are influencial in the SEO circles but not the general public.

    Because he doesn't apply to the general public, nor do does the GP use the Envato network as much as we (developers/designers/programmers) do. Like if you go up to someone and say NetTuts, they'd be like what the hell? Unlike if you go up to someone and say Facebook or Wordpress, they'd be like "I know that site".
