    Well you could check up @ deviantart they got some usefull tutorials for beginners.
    Also maybe psdtuts?

    PSDTUTS.COM is one of the best, the thing is, you do the tutorial then apply the skills you learn to your own creativity, as for the basics tutorial9.net

    However the best way to get PS to start would be to just toy with the tools especially the pen tool and adjusting points; applying the prset blending options and the tweaking them and seeing how changing settings effect one another Remember the Program as a tool and tools have to be used to master them Mistakes are good
