G Site Crawler used but still error on Google

    Im so new to all this and really need help:confused: I used G Site Crawler as someone on here sugested! My Google site map had an error on it. I thought Gsite Crawler would fix all this but Google says I still have errors on it.:mad: Can someone lead me in the right dirrection to fix this as Ive been trying for the last 2 weeks?:confused: I really dont know what Im doing its quite complex:eek: My site is www.rapalloav.co.nz

    Thanks in advance I do hope someone cleaver comes along

    Take a screen shot of the error and post it here or just post what the error message is.

    Google sitemaps sometimes report outdated errors that could have occured weeks ago. Can you see any dates on there?

    Ive use also xml sitemaps.com and still the same problem.

    It all seems so hard to get this to work is it really important I have this?:confused:

    That is a lot of errors within such a small time.

    Does google give an error code within the sitemap account? How many pages have you got on the site?

    I am actually wondering is its because you have too many tables within tables, although I havent seen that before I cant say for sure. If that was the issue then I would be looking at doing an overhual and trying to use as much CSS as possible - I could be totally wrong though.

    I dont know if google give an error code with the site map account? Im very new to all this and very green but its a horrible start! I dont know what you mean by doing an overhaul or CSS they are all words that mean nothing to me sorry:confused:

    If your site is so small then you are probably better off using a HTML sitemap than the Google xml.

    What I suggest for now, is forget the whole google sitemap thing. Create a single html page to add to your site and add each link to that page, for example look at the sitemap on Google's site - http://www.google.com/sitemap.html

    Here is the issue but, if Google sitemaps is reporting errors then their bots are having issues crawling your site and that is going to need fixing.

    I am going to try and crawl you site now using GSiteCrawler and see if anything jumps out.


    As for the CSS....

    Its a way using styles on your pages without all the html that is currently on there and its a route you should really start learing. Take a look at the following link and see if its something you would want to learn (it would be an advantage if you do) http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/learning

    I find everything I try to do getting my sitemap on google just soooooo difficult! I can make the site map but all the rest is really hard to understand. Ive had so many people tell me to use this prog or that prog?:(

    You will find that everyone has a different preference on programs to use.

    To be honest Google Sitemaps is only useful for a large site that has hundreds of urls. With your site being small a html page with the links should do the trick.

    Just want to point out that if you do make a html page for the sitemap make sure every page links to the html page. I place my link at the bottom of the page, for an example look at the very bottom of this forum page and you should see a link with " vBulletin v3.6.1, Copyright ©2000-2006, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd." this is exactly where I put my link that says "sitemap"

    Im sorry but one was started for g site crawler which I never got to work and I was told here to use xml sitemaps. So the other thread was started as I was then using another prog so I thought it best to start afresh as this main title was for G site Grawler. Sorry if I have done this wrong on here:(

    wel close this thread and pay atention on the other one...btw submiting a sitemap is not a hard task at all, its a real simple job, u just need the rite guidance. At first place, you dont need to submit sitemap for every url... ok now come over to ur other thread. c u dr..
