    Now how to remove the glasses from the monkey who is sitting on the right hand side (whose eyes are open)?

    You can just copy the original Monkey and paste it over the one with the glasses.

    Every time you create a new object select a new layer. That way you can switch the layers on and off. Good luck with photoshop. I am retired now and have used Photoshop since it was first invented and I am still struggling with some of the CS5 features.
