    It depends on what language it is. Adsense only supports certain languages, if your site is in a non-supported language it will mean that you will only get PSA. It's best to check and see if Adsense offers support for your language.

    If they don't then you should definitely do your site in English.

    Also, if there are publishers who are interested in your language, their ads will appear. If not, you will only serve public ads.

    you cant avoid it - if there's no advertisers for your type of site, google have no ads to display hence PSA, why dont you try something else like valueclick? and use it as an alternative ad?

    As you are running non-english site, you shouldn't go with adsense. There is a list of which languages are accepted in Adsense. If you barely want to continue showing ads with this site then i recommend to do some cloacking. As there are no other options available in your hand. :)
    But be careful, it can be dangerous for you. And most of the people do cloacking to avoid public service ads.

    Regards

    With French or German sites there also no problems ;-)

    Just go to http://www.google.com/adsense/ an look in the right corner. All the languages in the drop-down menue are supported :)

    Put this in your website :
    <html><head><title>Section targeting</title></head>
    <body>
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->

    This is the text of your web page. Most of your content resides here.

    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
    </body>
    </html>

    Or Try to put these right after <body> and right before </body>:
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    <!-- your keyword -->
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Take into consideration that it could also be that the Public Service Ads are appearing because Adsense cannot find any content to base there ads on, (I had this once when put ads on my page too early into construction of site)

    - So basically make sure its got good keywords and good Content.

    I try and use same size ads that Chitika has. If no Adsense I have it look at alternate URL which contains what I call a backup ad containing Chitika code. Don;t like wasted web estate

    It's called a collapsable ad unit, and it's easy to do.

    Create a file in the root folder of your website called collapsible_ad.html, which contains the following:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd ">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
    <title></title>
    <script src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/google_adsense_script.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    </head>
    <body style="background-color: transparent;">
    </body>
    </html>
    Code (markup):
    In your AdSense code, insert the alternate_ad_url option like so (place it above your google_ad_width parameter):
    google_alternate_ad_url = "http://www.yourdomain.com/collapsible_ad.html";
    google_ad_width = xyz;
    google_ad_height = xyz;
    Code (markup):
    If Google can't serve you a real ad, the space will simply collapse as if it was never there. And yes, it is allowed. Here's a link on how to do it direct from G.

    I personally use the collapsible ad method for all of my AdSense ads if they don't have any ads to show. I don't see the point in wasting space and losing clicks to non-revenue ads.

    It's also the country not just the language. Many advertsiers won't run ads in certain countries so you have an even smaller pool of Adsense advertisers for your site. I only run ads in the US & Canada and sometimes add the UK, NZ & Australia. Traffic from other countries doesn't convert into sales for me.

    by my thinkings if your using many of images in your website, alt all the images in english language,also add some Heading tag on top of your website which should be in english. More, add some keywords in english which are related to your website.

    There are tons of programs out there that will replace your Google PSA ads with any random add you want.

    I use PHPAdsNew with geotargeting. Anyone else?
