Lol, I know eBay, Inc somewhat. ;) I had one question, if they had an problem with you then why would they allow you to use PayPal account, lol. Don't they think that you would do cookie stuffing in it also (Which I am now sure that you did not do). ;)

When the FBI was first created it had tasks dedicated to larger safety and security issues. Later they started dealing with more items like international fraud. You may be thinking of the CIA.

Below is taken from a few wiki's

"Its first official task was visiting and making surveys of the houses of prostitution in preparation for enforcing the "White Slave Traffic Act," or Mann Act, passed on June 25, 1910. In 1932, it was renamed the United States Bureau of Investigation. The following year it was linked to the Bureau of Prohibition and rechristened the Division of Investigation (DOI) before finally becoming an independent service within the Department of Justice in 1935.[9] In the same year, its name was officially changed from the Division of Investigation to the present-day Federal Bureau of Investigation, or FBI.
[edit] The J. Edgar Hoover Directorship

The Director of the BOI, J. Edgar Hoover, became the first FBI Director and served for 48 years combined with the BOI, DOI, and FBI. After Hoover's death, legislation was passed limiting the tenure of future FBI Directors to a maximum of ten years. The Scientific Crime Detection Laboratory, or the FBI Laboratory, officially opened in 1932, largely as a result of Hoover's efforts. Hoover had substantial involvement in most cases and projects the FBI handled during his tenure.

During the "War on Crime" of the 1930s, FBI agents apprehended or killed a number of notorious criminals who carried out kidnappings, robberies, and murders throughout the nation, including John Dillinger, "Baby Face" Nelson, Kate "Ma" Barker, Alvin "Creepy" Karpis, and George "Machine Gun" Kelly."

Um as far as I am aware unless you are in a minimum security prison and you are rich then no.

I am not sure why cookie stuffing would be attempted in the first place though.

From what I have heard If you steal or commit fraud of over 10 million you are placed in above minimum security. Some regions it is over 25 million. So In case he has found guilty which would not suprise me he has a 50-50 shot.

I still want to know why "Assuming the cookie stuffing is true" Why he did it.

There is also the chance that he gets off free or just has to pay it back.

Good luck Shawn. I've followed the civil suit and am extremely surprised by the criminal charges. Keep us posted on the status and let the community know if you need financial assistance.
