I don't know that I agree with all the sentiments. The first line isn't really professional or what i would consider "business advice".

mistake #11: getting in a market that is saturated instead of searching for ways to make an entry into un-saturated market, thinking of new markets to explore.
mistake #12: reading too much stuff on the forum and believe that this what will help you, obviously, you are reading people's opinions and they differ, so lake of experience will get you killed.
mistake #13: not knowing how to properly manage your money, proper capital management is an asset for every business owner.
mistake #14: getting partners who are not doing the work, time is passing by, choose partners carefuly and always have plan B.
mistake #15: thinking that small amount of money that is invested, will get you there, all of the famous websites you know invested tons of money, if you know how and where to invest in your business, your money wont be wasted. if you are a starter, you are probably growing to throw money in the wrong directions. (so again, experience will save you tons)

 

I'd like to thrown in "spending more time admiring a rival blog than you do working on your own".

Nice article but yet i am not fully agree with the all mistakes you have given in the article but ya one should keep in mind those when starting a business.I have struggled a lot to start my own firm & in my view if you want to be successful in business you have to work very hard rather than just thinking on it...you have to create your opportunities for business rather than waiting for them...

The points the article makes for the most part are correct but I have to agree with MayaLocke that it is not very professional in its tone. I would try to seek out better advice to stay on track.

Sometimes is very difficult to don't give up. Two different situations is when you are starting your first business and when you are trying your first business. Especially when you see that others get from this business money and you not. You try, try but nothing. So, people which aren't so strong or don't believe their luck they give up very fast.

i ve made a lot of mistakes when doing online business-what i am doing right know-i think doing business is just build, develop, good analytics in seeing peoples need, and stop wasting time by hoping instant to get money...

Another mistake that make business fails is too much positive thinking. Never make a SWOT analysis. Therefore , when there is obstacles, chances are no 2nd strategy adopted.

I agree with the content of of the article at some extent only
I believe that whenever starts the new business than he is surrounded about opportunities it depends upon his thinking skills and talent to how to avail such opportunities and at very basic you should have believe and confidence in your self that you can achieve the target what you want to achieve

 

A drastic mistake would also be not put 80% of your budget into marketing. Without marketing you have no business!
