    Hello,

    please suggest placements for my site GIST Guide.

    It provides material for GRE, GMAT, IELTS, SAT and TOEFL test preparation. The word GIST is actually an acronym:

    G - GMAT and GRE
    I - IELTS
    S - SAT
    T - TOEFL​

    Its still in development but I have uploaded material, to start with. I am confused where to put adsense ads, I want that the basic purpose of the site to provide help is not overlooked, by placing ads.

    Nice work! Your link unit underneath the menu might bring some clicks as it blends very well. The bottom leaderboard - I doubt it will be clicked that often. You don't have much content right now to blend more ads. One thing you can do is have link unit underneath the menus in leftnav.

    The top placement is perfect. But I wud suggest u to change the background color of the table of the bottom placement of ads.

    And how come u have only 27 articles in ur forum with 161 registered users?

    Offer incentives! What kind (that is something you will have to brainstorm). Read more on this forum or some other marketing forums. Incentives is what prompts people to take action - in your case action is participation.
