Anyone know where on DP you are supposed to report fraud and scammy users that are ripping people off in the business sub-forums like link sales or trades, or domain sales, etc?

I tried to in the exact forum that it took place, but I got penalized by a moderator and my post was deleted.

    thanks.

    Thanks for you reply *pushkar*

Actually a lot of the fraud takes place months after the deal. For example you paid for a 12 month term, but 2 months into the deal the other person disappears, or the site you were linked on is down, banned, or turned into porn and you get ripped off. iTrader feedback is limited and usually only at the time of the deal. You can't go back and change your feedback...can you?

Report to moderator? That's fine, but they never reply to me for anything I ask. Even so, that doesn't warn other users about the fraudster. So they keep going and ripping off more people.

Unless someone shows me otherwise, doing business on ANY forum for short term link trades, domains or what ever has no legal recourse if you get ripped off. And it appears that a lot of that happens all day long. Maybe the answer is, just avoid it all together. My motto seems correct, "trust no one, the world is just a bunch of lying thieves".

So, I am asking for a way to WARN people after the fraud is discovered. any ideas?

You have all the legal recouse you want, it just has nothing to do with DP. It is a private deal between you and someone else, I am pretty sure the mods have no desire to get involved in your personal business matters.

As for warning people it is pretty much buyer beware, so you need to deal with reputable people or you take risk in a long term link deal.

How exactly do you legally deal with some random dude in India? As far as DP responsibility, its their site. They can deal with fraudulent users, and they should. Nothing to do with DP... that's a stupid thing to say... sorry. I suppose eBay, amazon and the rest are not responsible for fraud occurring on their site? Meaning, they need not bother with stopping or preventing it? Shouldn't they want to? If someone burglarizes an office building should the owners of the building be concerned for their tenants and do something about it? Or should they just say, "not my responsibility". Sorry man, but the attitude of "Yeah its my website, but I'm not responsible for what happens on it" is a load of bull.

    - reputable people - Who are they? How is one to know good from bad if people don't report the bad ones and let others know about the bad ones? Seriously, I'd like to know how that works. itrader is a crock, it means nothing anyone can manipulate it to eventually score big on someone.

Bah! It ain't worth the trouble doing business in a a den of thieves.
