the owner of findyourpagerank.com scammed me, and stole my domain.
Please do not visit teh site, please boycott it.
I see that the owner has put up a script that is sold right here on DP, please all DP members do not transact with this peron.

Do you have any proof of this nefarious deed? It's pretty hard to believe just based on a few slanderous lines.

Oh dear! Use of an escrow service may have helped..

 

You only have a small period of when you can dispute this. I would open up a dispute with paypal, if that doesn't work, then do a Chargeback through your CC company.

The second one beats me. When you say that the chap ripped you off, you don't give a positive one, do you???

 

i gave him feedback before he did the chargeback.
I contacted paypal, and they pretty much said, you do not have a shipping number so sucks for you.
I was like it is a digital good, there is never going to be a shipping number.
I even sent them the private messages, and the godaddy letter stating that I iniated a transfer of the domain.

So moral of the story... don't trust paypal to take care of you.

I couldn't use escrow, because the fees were so high that it iwasn't worth it.

 

No, the moral of the story is understand your payment method before using it. It really sucks you got ripped off, but it is well known, and no secret, that PayPal does not get involved in disputes over digital goods.

My advice always has been, and always will be, do not fund your purchase with PayPal funds unless you trust the seller.

 

i realize... but there are plenty of times where trust can't always be a factor

 

That really sucks!

Another moral of the story is to look at the post count while dealing with anyone at any forum. This guy has just 11 posts.. thats the first level indication that one need to be cautious.
