No I expected a published study or something among those lines . If you want to think empirically then you should tune your car's engine by hand "feel" and how it sounds .

Yes that is indeed a interesting link . A 500 word article that is more journalistic then scientific . To bad I can get the same same kind of stuff in the local media and that's not written by a medic .

 

I strongly believe god exist coz am very much happy he gave me beautiful life, in this living world. Every thing is created by god. If god does not exist then there is no meaning of this word "GOD"

 

To me, god means ignorance. And it surely does exist, in vast quantities.

Now back to Apocalypse and st0x, addressing the matter of simplying love to a chemical equation, reading the posts on the last(33rd) page, both are right in their own respects. Love is caused by a change in emotions of feelings towards a particular someone, which can't happen without some physical change(No matter how small) in the brain. If it was some electric impulse, then it wouldn't last long enough for the feeling to linger. So it's probably a chemical change in the brain. Either way, whatever it really is, it doesn't undermine the value of love, or it's effects on the human life.

Here's my belief, open to ridicule if preferred. I think we're all connected. Some theologians suggest we have a conscious & subconscious mind. The conscious mind is us, the subconscious mind is 'God'. Everything you see/say comes from your conscious mind and feeds into the subconscious mind and every subconscious mind is connected. Together as a whole that is God, which makes every one of us a part of God, his 'children' if you prefer.

Once you understand that concept (we're all connected by God), it's a small step further to learn how to feed God what he (in my case) wants. You can use your conscious mind to control the subconscious mind and use that to control others.

This theory is spelt out perfectly in a book by U S Anderson called 'three magic words'. It helped me understand and come to terms with the unexplained.

 

I need to have some of that joint dude. How could I stop God from downloading my thoughts through a remote server called the subconscious mind? I need to have some privacy you know.

That also explains atheist dictators that killed over 200 million people in the span of 100 years, more then all the religious wars in history have done. Will , you would have loved the soviet union. Its a shame youdidnt live there. You probably would have been a believer by now.
1000's of churches demolished, killing believers if they practiced their faith. Atheism would have taken us back to teh stone ages if it were allowed to keep power over the people. Thank God that berlin wall came down.

Who would you rather have ? a few suicide bombers or dictators that killed a few hundred million people for just having faith in someone.

Bushranger that is called dualism, there is good evidence for some form of it, but remember this though : God doesnt exist because we exist. Its the other way around. I would suggest a great video on you tube on nde's by Doctor Gary Habermas. I think you will find it very fascinating and in this video it points to strong evidence that atheism-materialism-naturalism is clearly the odd man out here.

 

Well I believe most people believe in God and that does not make it a good or a bad thing. But yes I do believe that there is a higher being that created this entire universe and everything in it.
