People talk much about role of social network sites to SEO. Did you get success or get many traffic from doing with those sites? If yes, Please share, how to make use the best benefit from social network for SEO?

 

If you have good social network on Social Networking sites like facebook or twitter than you can get maximum benefit to drive huge volume traffic on your site. Ir really works!!!

 

Create a community in social networking sites like facebook and twitter. Helps of this sites you can get hung volume traffic on your site.

 

Built your own page for your Facebook account, once your site have any promotion activity, such as discount, give away, etc., you can post information about the promotion activity on your Facebook page.

 

Take Twitter as an example:
1) Create an account associated with your blog/website and promote it on your website/blog
2) Twitter useful information in the niche related to your website once or twice a day ---- people will start to retweet your tweets
3) start mixing in a couple of your posts or websites (providing they contain relevant & useful information)

I agree with multicolorguru, Most social media is not that great for seo when it comes to building backlinks as most links are nofollow. But when you get some people that start following you and when your tweets are sharing useful information they will retweet and that will help with building a bigger network. After some time your network can send you some nice traffic.

 

The best way (we've found) to utilize social media networking sites for SEO is the focus solely on the highest PR social networks: Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon. Build up a solid network of friends on those sites and share your content with them and interact with the content they send you.

Over time, you'll be able to leverage those networks you build so that when you submit your own websites/content, those friends will help get your content noticed. If your content does well it will be featured on the front pages of those sites, from there, not only are you getting high PR placements from those sites, but you're also getting thousands of visitors and hundreds of organic backlinks from those visitors linking you to their own blogs and whatnot.

So the bottom line is to get your content on the front pages and/or visible on the top social media sites. From there, the visitors + organic SEO can be phenomenal.

Digg, Reddit, StumbleUpon are sites for you to submit your website/content/articles/etc to. You submit them and people vote on if they like them. If you have good content, it may be picked up by other people and if it goes popular, it can be viewed by thousands of users. That's how you get natural traffic, and when the search engines see that your site does well on those social networks, they will rank your site higher and higher for the relevant keywords.

Social networking sites though havent played a great (i wudn't say none because it has been there) role in SEO before but they are going to be a huge thing from now on. Google, Bing, Yahoo all have tied up with Facebook & twitter in some way or the other and are indexing content in Search.
I have experienced this personally, some of my pages that don't show in SERP's at all for 30 pages atleast are being shown on first page of google because I tweeted those links on Twitter. IT DOES WORK.
