Try to get your traffic up. 120 uniques/day isn't much. You can't expect to make much money with this kind of traffic.

IMHO the topic has a lot to do with it..
as already stated, there arent a lot of PHP or CGI fanclubs.. and the type of people that do come looking for this type of stuff are probably 'ad-blind' ..

That really depends on the type of tech site. "Tech sites" is too broad.

Plus, you can -- and possibly should -- do both affiliates and AdSense. Then, you disocver which one pays better and give that one the best ad spots.

    Hi Matt:

I'm not sure if you changed your site since starting this thread, but I am having trouble finding where you display your Adsense ads. Aside from the right column skyscraper ad and the odd 336x280 at the bottom of a few of your Article pages, I don't see any. Have you tried putting a 468x60 or 338x280 text ad above the fold on all pages?

Don't give up, Matt. I know it can be discouraging, but you just have to be persistent. As others have mentioned, you don't exactly have the best niche for good CTR, but you can still generate some money with this site. You may find you have to add more sites to your network in order to bring up the total $$ you earn with AS, but no reason to scrap this site before fully exploring the different ways to optimize it.

    Good luck with it. :)

I see that you have about +300 pages indexed by Google. That should be more than enough to get a lot more than 120 visitors a day. Have you tried optimizing every single page to specific keyword phrases with high KEIs?

I'll bet that if you picked lets say 5 pages a day and optimized them for specific high KEI phrases to get better rankings, you would increase your visitor stats substiantially.

I don't have adsense on every page, I have tried adding some ads other than adsense on everypage to see if I can make a sell.

Yup, If you use the "site" command as vito says you can see how many pages are indexed.

KEI is a term for number of searches for that specific phrase combined with the number of sites having that exact phrase somewhere on their site.

I believe that WordTracker has a free tool where you can check your phrases. If nobody is searching for the phrases that you have used as page titles, H1-tags, anchor texts of internal links etc. then that explains the low amount of visitors.

Let me give you some phrases that might drive some traffic to your site (Go for the highest KEIs first and work your way down). Remember to use the exact phrase as title and Headline tags.

    No. Keyword - KEI Analysis - Count - 24Hrs - Competing
    1 "_le php d'arme nucl?aire de livre d'amazone sugg?rent" 5625.000 75 46 0

    Not particular a good advice.

Stephen Covey said, if you are in the wrong 'map', working hard will get you 'nowhere'.

    my advice?

sell the site. You see, since so many people response with their suggestion to improve, may be they can do it better themselves (or they think they can). Sell it, and try other niche :D

did u give up on Adsense as I no longer see it on your site?

you have a nice looking site you maybe need to diversify your topics a little and ad a blog

well that is if you carry the gift of the gab like someone off the Isle of Gibraltar. Not Rock
