Looking for pointers on managing my website

Here's my situation. I have one site now. This site is only marketed via organic SEO. We are getting about 1100-1400 unique visitors each month. Customers find our website and they can order online or over the phone, most large orders are ordered over the phone. We are making a nice profit, but not enough to hire employees. I would like to do other types of marketing in order to increase our sales volume, but the problem I have is I don't have the money to hire full time or part time employees so we can handle larger sales volumes. Also who ever we hire we would need to trust because they will be taking customer's credit card numbers.

Are there any inexpensive services out there, maybe like an answering service, that will take orders for you, even if you only get 1-8 calls a day?

 

I know a company like this, a friend works there. Send me a PM to remind me and I will ask tomorrow and see if they will handle an account like that.

What they do is they get companys catalogs and then when you call they read a script you give them and take the order as you would.

 

what is your budget, handling CC is risky i cant give u and of my guys, but i can do some cheap seo or any other works like email/chat supp so on.

Alternative marketing - think outside the box - have a look in Google 'web search' for the following:

They have pretty much nailed the alternative marketing sources for what they do, such as DealTime, Yahoo Store, eBay Store - etc.

For CC processing....

Where are you located, search engines are getting into payment process i.e. Google Checkout and Windows Live also has one (off memory).

Then there are banking insitutions who offer payment processing, so check with your local bank or banks.

PayPal.com, 2ChequeOut and many more of the processing too - easy for low order numbers while you build up your enterprise.

Last, but not least come the 'Payment Gateway Providers' such as:
