    Its new thing that i leaned that you are getting backing through facebook. Because facebook gives no follow links how google will count it in your backlink. please send me your website in which facebook link get counted

    People tend to use FB to get real visitors from their link, not for SEO purposes

    I have always found FB helpful to get real visitors as well. It seems that with all the time people spend on that site, they are willing to click on links that their friends offer. Prob a good think that it is nofollow...could you imagine if it wasn't!!!!

    According to me you can get traffic from facebook but you can not get backlinks from facebook.

    Getting backlinks from facebook is one of the tactics to increase your traffic. I am currently setting my new blog and I found facebook is one of the best place to increase my traffic.

    Well I've heard that Facebook and Google are cold rivals. Also, Facebook gives nofollow to all links. All you can get is traffic by doing some quality discussions and using widgets. Whole world is fighting for backlinks. Fight for the quality and deliver what your audience wants.

    Like others have stated...facebook can bring quality traffic and visitors. One big upside, is that those readers might have dofollow blogs that can help your PR. If you are hosting a giveaway, FB can be a great resource for getting quality backlinks from other bloggers.

    Facebook doesn't have dofollow links. Therefore, if you're looking for link juice from FB, I doubt it's possible.

    this is not possible you can get back link for using facebook because facebook is nofollow.. but you can get more trafic using facebook, today facebook is most visited social networking site..
