Increase facebook followers..

    Hi,
    I am new to facebook. My friends suggested me to follow as many members as you can. so that they will follow you . But its in vain.Only less than few followed me.

    Is there any other strategy to increase followers.

    You need a popular niche... use keyword tools like :

    Google insights for search : http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=facebook page,&date=today 1-m&cmpt=q (in this example Facebook page)

    Simply enter a popular search term you like or that is relevant to your page, get writing and add notes to your page based on the popular terms from insights, SEO just like you would a regular website.

    Comment on similar but popular pages on facebook: link the new post/note you made using the step above on similar pages to your note that you just made.

    Make media posts or videos on youtube: simply create external links to your page, images on your page, posts on your page, links on your page etc. Links like digg, twitter, reddit and youtube... again use the tags from insights in these submissions.

    Post random news on your page: Even if you are promoting dog shampoo, say something like "wow did you see this" and create a a link on your wall to the story, or even make a new note in detail, again use insights or trends, or post something that you know is popular... then do all the above to your new link or note.

    It's not easy, just spends all day working on it and adding valuable content, it will grow...

    no..it all about if you can help people solve a problem..after that people will start to follow you..and get a number of follows each day from suggested people..and its all about providing good content and people will start to join you.

    If you want other people to follow you then make sure that they will get benefits from following you. Share them some updates and news related to service or products you are promoting.

    3/ create a promotional video submit it to all the top video sites include url to your fan page. put a video tab on
    your fan page, put your video on it and put your video on your main Facebook profile.

    Did you mean Facebook or Twitter? Facebook doesn't have followers, but Twitter has. In any case, to increase the number of followers on Twitter or the number of fans on Facebook, you need to provide on a regular basis interesting and engaging content. From my experience one message a day is a good rate. Whatever you do, avoid spamming your Twitter followers or Facebook fans.
