Lately, I haven't been doing much but staring down my computer screen.

What do you do when you get put into this position?

    Hey homie,

When you get in this position you have to decide if what you are doing is for you. Most in likely it isn't your passion or you wouldn't be bored.

    Hope that helped.

    God bless

    Well yup...helpful post lol

This is the right position for me, I'm not saying that but I am saying that after a while I do get bored.

    I always take a break.

Sounds simplistic I know but it works for me and I have had the "boredom" problem for years. I love my work, but when that work is sat in front of a computer screen all day every day it can get very tedious.

So I take a break, go and do some housework, break out the exercise equipment, go and wash the car, etc. All things that remind me just how much I love my job and can't wait to get back to my desk :)

I just sort of go off every now and again and do other things to ward off the boredom problem.

    Hey homie,

You can also always do something to enjoy yourself like play games, go the the movies, watch sports, etc. There are many things to do if boredom is a problem for you.

Maybe you should add other activities into your daily schedule. That might help elimate the boredom problem.

    God bless

Often I play some games where I am really good at. This pushes me in a good mood and after that I can continue with my work with renewed energy.

Sleep. Wake up. Go for a walk. Eat. Stay on bed.

Do whatever you want, but stay away from computer/tv/radio/music watever, for 2 days. In the 3rd day, you 'll be full of energy to work.

I don't think taking 2 days aways from work everytime you feel boredom is really the solution.

    Just my opinion.

If you're bored, take a fifteen minute break and move around. Then sit back down to get busy. If you're still bored, use the time to make a list of things that need to get done. Once you have a list, it's easy to start crossing them off again.

This is exactly what I'm doing when I get bored but it seems I can't control my temper to look at the screen again. When I saw my laptop, I know what happens next.

When I am bored or worried a smoke or two always cheers me up. It is bad for the health but nothing wrong with once or twice a day. lol

Most of the time boredom and in activity is probably stemming form a lack of solid direction. I have set goals and deadlines for my activities that i HAVE to complete in order to progress forward. This keeps me on track and *busy* with boredom never even coming my way.

Before I set deadlines and held myself accountable I would say things like "I am going to write and post 30 articles" and then it would never happen. There was no accountability. So hold yourself responsible for the job to get done, set deadlines and go forth and do the work.

So many ideas whizzing around my head. Not enough time to complete everything i want to accomplish. Though i do take a break every now and then when tiredness has really kicked in.

    @newbie191
