StumbleUpon Rocks!!!

I find stumble a little weird and the quality of traffic low.
Some times I post and get a ton of traffic some times I get non.

It just depends on your tags and if people are stumbling at that moment.
Plus most people look, click like or dislike then move on. Thats it, so low quality traffic as far as that stand point.

 

Sounds like I may have to revisit Stumbleupon. Most traffic from Social sites for me would be Twitter.

 

In my opinion StumbleUpon is very able to bring you lots of traffic but I doubt it's quality.

I think traffic from Facebook or Twitter will definitely convert better.

Thank you for starting this thread. Indeed social bookmarking is an important tool for driving traffic to your website. To be honest, I opened an account with StumbleUpon and Digg quite some time ago but have never bothered to do anything with my account. You're thread has spurred me on to start investing some of my time in StumbleUpon and Digg.

 

I tried to paying for Stumble Upon advertising a couple of times and indeed, the traffic quality was terrible. I believe I got one conversion on a $150 spend.

 

Is there a certain method you guys are using Stumlbe Upon to achieve great success with it?

People have made a good point. We have to look at the quality of traffic before getting too excited about it.

 

I have had a stumble account for about five years, maybe more.

Sometimes I get a surge of traffic from SU but most of the time not much. It depends on the topic. Exotic pets, vampires and things with really good headlines have done well for me, like the rat eating plant headline.

The traffic does not convert well. People using SU tend to click one page to the next very very quickly. Bouncing, not good for conversions.

yeah, getting a lot of visitors, but haven't order, this not high quality visitors

 

i just have registered on stumbleupon, so i don't have to say something for sure
but. digg have preview. stumble is not. maybe this is th deal?

 

right now I am getting awesome results from stumbe but it depends on how you run your account

 

SU gives me a few thousand visits for each post, the most I've had for a single post was 50,000 visits.

 

I think SE traffic is best because it is highly targetted. Try comment posting to some high ranking blogs.

 

usually one will get terrible traffic from SU just to lower his alexa and total visits, and then sell the useless traffic via banners via buysellads.com
