I run photoshop CS4 extended and it's worked fine until recently, when i click to use a brusb (custom or default), it doesn't appear like the thumbnail, it appears at random angles everytime i click and it's really annoying cause if i wanted it at the angle the thumbnail shows it as, it means i have to rotate it each time. how do i fix this????

Go to window >> brushes" then select "Shape Dynamics" and there is a slider bar called "Angle Jitter" make sure this is set to 0%.

Also, open the brushes panel, and make sure "x axis" and "Y axis" are unselected.

At least one of these should fix your problem.

If you have a digital tablet you have to make sure that you have pressure sensitivity enabled as well, so that you can the most out of the tablet. Angle Jitter is something that's interesting to play with if you have a Wacom Tablet too.
