Some of my clients are wishing to pay by E-gold -- I have not found an easy way to get an e-gold account, fund it other than credit card.

Anyone have any advice -- I am a nubie to E-gold.

    Thanks

    It is offshore bank.
    Very high anonymouse!
All money at Your account are in gold ;)

I have never funded my e-gold account in other way than by exchangers...
Usually I was exchanging with paypal and 5% fee.

    edit:
selling egold is more profitable as You should get more than 100% of exchanged amount to your paypal :)

so money gets put into a Paypal account then exchanged into E-gold for a 5% fee, something like that?

When I want to change it back into Paypal it does not cost me 5%??

And they will cheat you 50% of the time. Use only an accredited exchanger. BEWARE.

There's no such thing as an accredited exchanger. It's all done by reputation. To be accredited there needs to be an authority or a government that provides the accreditation.

You don't get it put back into PayPal. You pay a fee to an exchanger and they wire it to your bank account. The e-gold process is actually pretty complicated compared to most. I've used www.icegold.com for exchanges ranging from $50 to $1500.

You don't need to fund it. Just create an account, accept the money, and use an exchanger to get it wired to your bank account.

Remember that any e-gold transaction is not reversible. Once it is done, it is the end of it.

It doesn't seem to be very popular, I mean compared to paypal. Let's just stick to paypal till something better comes along. And E-Gold isn't really that good compared to paypal.

The "e-gold" that someone pays you is actual real life physical gold. When someone pays you say $100 via e-gold, you own the equivalent gold. This gold is physically located in Dubai.

So all the payments are done within the system. Basically you are trading the gold.

To get the money out, you can sell the e-gold to someone who needs it and will pay you dollars/currency. If you have sufficient balance, you can request to have the physical gold shipped to you.

My recommended way to cash out e-gold is loading it on a card like gCard

    :)

I have been using e-gold about two years, I haven't had any problems. Only applauses to e-gold services, most of my payments online were made by e-gold.

    Why you should use e-gold?
    a) you don't need a terrible verification operations
    b) it is safe
    c) account closing is very rather (if you don't brake their rules).
    d) low fees
    e) it is easy to integrate to your web-site as a payment option

I don't know what else you to say. As PayItForward says, you can buy e-gold via icegold.com I am using their services too, no problems and it is well known with great reputation company. I strongly recoomend you to use e-gold.com
Ask more if you need to know something ;)

Very helpful info to everyone -- the question I still have is some of the clients who want to pay me with E-gold say it is anonymous. I don't see how that can be -- you can fund through a credit card, bank wire, Paypal.

Icegold.com looks like a great place with low fees of 2%.

You can open e-gold accounts as many as you want, when you fund your account you are not funding it through e-gold, bet other related companys, these companys just send money from their e-gold account to your e-gold account and it is anonymous.
