My parents died long ago. And now I hate only one thing. I appreciated them very few, but brought a lot of claims. Now, having my own grandchildren, I realize how much my parents did to me that I was good.

I don't even have a single reason to hate my parents :)
They've given so much love that I can't even think of hating then, man!

Parents are parents. They are always interested in the welfare of their children and at young age, the children can't realize the importance of the care taken by their parents. By the time when they realize, they would have become parents again and the cycle continues.

Whats up with everyone telling this guy to leave his house at an early age? Dude, stay with your parents and leave at 30 years old or so. Dont ever take your parents for granted my friend. Just because they tell you dont go here, dont go there does not mean they hate you and dont want you to have fun.

I lived with my parents till I was 26. I got married at 23, and stayed with them for another 3 years before I got settled and then moved out with my wife and my son. I am now a father of 2 kids, one 5 years old and one 1.5 year old. I have friends that complain about their parents, but they have no idea how good they have it.

You don't know what you have till its gone.

    Good point.

Although I don't see anything negative from moving out and trying to make it on your own. You can always go and visit your parents every once in a while, right? Nothing wrong about that. The OP is just frustrated about his parents being over-protective. He's lucky if you'll ask me. It's good that he still has his parents around for him.

Oh I am not saying that he should stay there forever. You do have to go out and tackle the world sooner or later. His parents are not over-protective, they just care. Over-protective is a friend of mine who has parents that follow him everywhere he goes from far. His father hides in his and his sisters closets to hear what he says on the phone to see what he is talking about. He is almost 31 and still lives with his parents and not married. He smokes and his parents dont know, so he once threw a cigarette away, his father picked it up and waited for him at home with it. THATS over protective.

Whatever you have, someone has it worse.

25 and your parents still control your life? Your an adult so they only have as much control as you allow them to

It's either you parents don't trust you (coz you did something wrong before?) or they love you so much. Prove yourself and love them even more.

It is not about the whole country or culture it's all about your parents, they just see yourself the way they see it. I think they will rethink about this whole situation only with time
