I don`t think somebody will give you an answer for this. If somebody would know a good domain name, they will use it for themselves, or sell it

do some keyword research on the type of gigs you think will be offered and then think of it that way. I agree though nobody will give out their good names for nothing...

what is going to be unique about your website?

Fiverr.com is great because all the gigs are $5.

Do you have a selling point?

You just need to search "gigs.com" in some registrars and they would suggest you some other available "...gigs.com", you have to make sure the good names are available first.

I agree with the others, choosing a domain is a very personal thing. What has sometimes worked for me in the past is choosing one word that relates directly to your site, and another that implicitly relates to the value it offers, then mash them together.

For instance, your explicit word could be gigs and your implicit one could be easy, or maybe effortless. So you'd end up with effortlessgigs.com. Pretty rubbish I know, but it's a process of elimination that should take you a LOT longer than the 30 seconds it took me to do that lol

I never did like the word "gig" and adding "4u" and things like that make me think of spam immediately. The best option is to come up with a name that's unique and isn't actually a word. Something like Google, Twitter, Digg, things like that. I don't believe everyone is so selfish that they'll try to make money off of an idea for a domain name that they don't even plan on using themselves. That's just too much effort finding someone that wants it and didn't think of it yet to make a couple of dollars.

Why would they delete a whole thread that may still be useful for someone else? I think you should consider some more names because gigtask doesn't really say much and it's not catchy. Also it combines "gig" which should be a fun thing with "task" which is an obligation.
