Could anyone please review my ads placement?

"decent": I take it as a compliment ;)
Or should we do something better?

    Thanks for your reply!

its fine but you still have 1 more ad to be placed
you can use that too, 3 ads are allowed in a page.

    Thanks, medic2424! :)

forumrating, are you referring to the home page? Yeah, I know we can use up to 3 ads but I think the home page is already cluttered enough... What could be a good spot to add another one?

    Cheers everybody!

Good blending of ads to your sites theme.
But you can improve CTR by using ad units with more links. :)

Yeah, that's a good suggestion - but the problem is: where to put bigger blocks? We want to show also affiliates banners, we don't want our pages to look just a collection of ads... ;)

You can try large rectangular ad unit as suggested by google adsense experts which gets best CTR.
Place it in middle of the page if possible
Or try skyscrapper in right sidebar.

Rectangle on the middle at the top. The same way how you put at the side.

Can't distinguish the ad. Excellent blending. If the previous post did not mention the placement, I could not find the google ad.

A lot of publishers don't have ANY ads on their index page, for some reason. Anyway your placement and blending is excellent! Keep us posted on your ctr for that page!

    I will sure do, thanks!

About the fact of not having Google ads on the home page: we really talked about this a lot, since they could take users away from our site (all the other ads open in a new window), so we'll see if we get good earnings from those, otherwise we'll take them away (as we have lots of other pages...)

By the way, what about the ads placed on other sections of the site? Like the ones in the celebrities list or news lists? We "hid" them in the lists, what do you think about it?

    Cheers!
