$1000/Day Plan ... My Next to come Business

Discussion in 'General Business' started by ecommerce_guru, Oct 10, 2006.

as the subject says: $1000/day is my goal...

to say few things. i used to have a website with a revenue $150-$200 from sales on daily basis but sold !
and to say the truth i miss those monthly checks ! so iam willing to have the next online business with 1 goal in mind : $1000/ day as a start.

How? idea? doable or not? i know you will ask such questions..

i will not tell my plan but let me point you to some issues:

    - Such a goal needs a unique idea / project to go on with.
    - Such a goal needs a good business plan
    - Such a goal needs a BUDGET (i hate those 0 cost)
    - Don't do it all by yourself

Will start with the idea, as we all know grab some unique idea out of your head is not an easy issue specially when knowing that most of the Internet-based ideas already out and live. we saw how the milliondollarhomepage idea got all the attention for few months and succeeded

My idea is unique, NO copycat PERIOD. so the impact is going to be good at least in the beginning. the idea is all about selling products (specific non-merchandise) products with good pricing scheme ($800-$2000 per sale)
so the goal is to have at least 1 sale per day !!!!
    [x] can be done
    [ ] can't be done

Going to the Business Plan step: PLANNING ! is the buzz word to start big in your project. its time for a change ! do a plan, pay for someone to do it for you if you have no idea how to do it. surveys, feasibility study, market research, market analysis, surveys, beta version, QA, continuity plan etc.. it will lead you to the right track.
[x] Prepared and Ready to apply
[ ] Not thinking to do

Budget step: Long term budget, short term budget is a key point for you to start, run and stay alive with your project. who likes to pay? no one. but if you are willing to start big and make your goals you need to pay good money.
dividing your budget into several categories will help for sure to organize and set the needed budget for the right category.
    [ ] I have the needed budget
[x] I partially have the needed budget
    [ ] I don't have the budget
So iam stuck a little bit here. Seeking for a solution

Don't do it all by yourself Step: well.. you are not superman! hire people to do what is needed as simple as that. you will save time and effort by doing so.
-- I will be updating this part with new thread --

explaining the whole issue will take pages and pages so iam just telling.

anyway as you can see i almost have what it takes to start and achieve my goal, once i resolve the remaining bug i will pull the trigger and GO!

Whenever i start i will update you on daily basis with my revenue.

always remember: key of success is to work 8 hours and sleep 8 hours but make sure they are not the SAME 8 hours.

    Cheers

P.S the idea has nothing to do with my sig ;)

Well, I wish you luck with it, but I disagree with one point, and am curious about another.

First, no, it doesn't take a big budget to have big success in business. Some of the biggest businesses out there today are the ones who literally started with nothing but an idea and a heck of a lot of work. I've barely spent a cent on my own business other than domain registrations and hosting mostly for side projects, because I know how to market w/o spending a dime. And I'm doing more than just ok. It depends a lot on your business. If it's service-oriented either online or off, you can do it with a limited, or even no, budget at first. If it's product oriented, then it's a different story usually, so perhaps that's your case.

On another note, I know you don't want to give out too much information about what it is that you're selling. But what makes you feel confident that you can get at least one sale per day? Just playing devil's advocate a bit, because I know there are plenty of offline businesses specializing in high ticket items (from major electronics to sports bikes, to boats) who don't even get a guaranteed sale per day. Without having to give away what exactly you're selling, are there any unique factors that you think make it more possible in your case then theirs? Is it something with a high demand and totally unsaturated market? Or are you planning to build demand on something that's entirely new?

    Hi,

What do you mean exactly with "Don't do it all by yourself"?

    Thanks,

    Lee.

Outsource no brainer time consuming work. For eg: link building, article submission, etc.

    Thanks guys for your replies...

BRUM: as Judd said hire someone to help you in such fields you don't know. as simple as that ! you will save alot of work believe me.
for example: hire someone to do your market analysis or your logo design or to conduct the whole business plan!

    Judd: Thanks buddy.. appreciated!

jhmattern: well... answering your first point, why i said it needs good money because the copycat industry at peak these days so if i dont do it right! if i didn't get my idea out there to people iam OUT! i can't risk it! neither wait to achieve it by time.
advertising, press release, Search engines, etc.. all should be at best to boost the idea. i might agree it could happen without spending much i already had an experience with my previous business (who lasted 3 years) but again i cant risk it.

the other point, what makes me sure? no one can ! but once you have a unique idea to sell people like it at least in the beginning thats what am counting on! and by the way am selling online services

yes, online services are great because it allow you to do other important things with your business and enable you to focus on marketing, enhancements and other issues while your business keep selling!

lets say my business is automated like 80% then the 20% remaining wont prevent me to complete what i said.

    Cheers
