How to calculate the worth of the website and sell it

I want to sell one of my websites. It is "Art Works expo". How can I calculate the worth of the website and sell it?

There is no easy way to do it - the value is based on aspects such as levels of traffic, demographics of the traffic and current revenues. The old adage that it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it is very applicable for website valuation.

 

As above, but I sell my websites mainly based on traffic and revenue. I'm not sure how much it is but I think selling it for ten times the monthly revenue is a good way to get an idea of what it should sell for, maybe wrong on that though. But as I said I sell mine based on revenue and traffic, obviously other people may value it less or more as said above.

There are also some people selling sites with a high pagerank. Most of these sites dont even get 500 visitors a month.

Like the others said: constant traffic, earnings/conversions and a good SERP are important points to calculate the worth of a website.

 

Website with High PR never means you get traffic
Traffic comes with SEO, Link building and etc....

 

Basically, websites are like real estate. It purely depends on you. Maybe you have a big idea, you may spend big on buying it. The general notion is number of visitors, conversion rates and revenue. Generally 10month - 18 months revenue is what a website is sold for.

guys i got a 8 day old site, has had a total of 3k UV , 6000 views, 47000 pages again all in a matter of 8 days . not sure if thats average or low

 

You need to valuate your own web site. No one will do so for you. All you need to do is just think for a reasonable price for it.

 

You should try to check the PR of this site.Otherwise you can't analyze that this site is average or low..

 

As all other have I said I would also like to say that the exact value of your website is determined by your traffic amount!

 

The website's worth is dependent upon,
- Page Rank
- Domain Age
- Monthly Traffic
- Monthly Income
and a few similar factors.

agreed, but in a way, if your site is making money, it can be as new as 3 days old and you can sell for a good amount of money. I've had sites that get 100+ unique visits daily but were less than a month old. and others that are years old and are just now getting traffic. i think it also has alot to do wtih the HISTORY of the site and the visitors. if over time, the visitor count falls, your site will be worth less than say, one where theyre going up slightly. but then again, you're asking about domains, right?

 

Your rank 23.5 million on alexa, seems like a very new site. You can sell it for around $50 I'm guessing, but way to young, I recommend keeping for at least another year and you'll see real profits.

 

the rank on his site for alexa is 19million something with a pagerank 3, it's not too bad of a site, but like you said, if he holds on to it and develops it further, it might be worth ALOT more.. just my input

there are websites out there that calculate the worth based on PR, Alexa and ad revue.

 

i think you may consider these factors: age of the site, traffic, page rank, monthly net income. these are only few.
