    Hi

I have added keywords using meta tag under <head>. As far as i have seen, the google ads are content based not keyword based on my website.

Can you people tell me how can i get ads based on keywords ???

as long as your content is based on your keywords, it should not be a problem. try contectual targeting tags on the content you'd like to target. also, naming your sub-folders after the keywords help as well. and titles and descriptions with the keywords.

also hit some atl-tags on your images with keywords.

Your content needs to be related to the keywords you are targeting. There's no legitimate way for you to artifically try and trick the Adsense bot into showing ads related to other keywords. If you've got a page about painting for example, it will definitely not show ads related to finance.

But after all, that's the point of using contextual advertising... to show ads based on the actual content on the page.

Consider an example, if my site is related to travelling and there is no content related to hotels but yet hotels is another best keyword for travelling site, so i can then target hotel ads. Shall i give it in the title and description or something like hidden text ??

NEVER EVER EVER use hidden text. It could get you banned in Adsense and from the Google Search engine index

You can add the word "Hotel" into your keywords, site description and page title, however that won't have a very big effect. Adsense looks at the actual content of the page and gives that the highest weight in determining which ads to show.
