China is a great country, for producing lot of goods and exporting them to rest of the world. Yes there are some people or I must say lot of people tried to exploit other countries economy by importing and selling not so good quality products. However if you visit to China and see, it is completely different than what they show in the TVs :)

Yes the people are humble but some parts of the country, the locals are not humble to the foreigners. Yes I being a chinese citizen would say that because I want my country people to be good with everyone :)

Friends, chinese food what you eat in your part of the world is completely different than what you get inside China. We also eat spicy foods, the only things is that we dont use oil in our foods :)
Yes and I also think importing goods is better than importing foods products.

The life of an average chinese citizen is obviously more than the rest of the world or atleast in Asia because of the healthy food :)

Thanks for your compliments. Yes I would really go ahead and say lot about the advantages and disadvantages of using products or visiting china :) Also as you have started a good thread and "so far" all your comments in the thread are positive, I will be happy to shed more light on the subject :)

I am Living in china for almost 5 years now ... well, what ever anyone suggested is like way back in 80's or 90's ... all i see now people are open and cultured ...
the good thing about being in china is Changes ...
i been to so many countries lived there quite a some time ..

but in china i see changes and improvement happening very fast from people mind to city sky scrapper happen so fast ... i think main reason is people are disciplined by Govt.
if Govt think want change the people work with them to make that happen ... yeah yeah yeah , from Democratic point of view it's "Communism" "The RED" .. but i feel it's okey unless nobody get hurts and the Govt have good intention for the people

Here is a small Example : when i first come to Shanghai b4 5 years ... i see the city is already developed, they only two metro line that time but when I go to subway i see people rushing inside .. never leave a way for the people getting out, Spitting, Escalator people stand on both side blocking the way, Staring at me, little bit scared look 'cos i am Black

Now : Now they have 13 lines for the metro, crowded than before, I see organized Line getting in and out, People give up to seat for Old people and Pregnant ladies "no one staring at me" , No Spitting and it's awesome to see people help each other and they always willing to help foreigners 'cos they don't understand chinese

Your location says HK and you have given an example of shanghai, since last 5 years, a bit confusing. However if you visit more unknown cities other than Shanghai and Beijing, which lot of people (who have not visited china) knows about, you will notice that the locals will still stare you :p ..... lol !!!!

ha ha ha True, people still stare at me when i go to Zhuhai or Guangzhou ... but not like b4 ... i think it's because there is a lot of expats are in china for the past 3 years.

BTW, I am currently living in HK now since December, I used to live in Shanghai.. And I travel to shanghai every month once, 'cos my office development team is in Shanghai.

I Like HK for business because of the Govt rules on banking and tax ... and to live i prefer Mainland .. .especially "sanya" or "Hangzhou"
