Orkut better than myspace?

    Do you think orkut is better marketing than myspace?

    I think Orkut has 30 million members, and myspace has 120 million,

    but orkut is growing much faster now and is mostly for asia and south america where as myspace is for US mostly..

    then you have friendster which has mostly asians and hi5 which has many canadians..

    do you market ur sites on all of these or just myspace?

    myspace is mostly american and other english native speakers.
    Orkut is successful in south east asia.
    Friendster is doing well in South America.
    Hi5 is successful in Canada.
    Bebo is doing well in England/Ireland.
    Facebook is well in the US.
    ...
    ...
    ...

    On the bottom line for marketers myspace is still the best for two main reasons it has the biggest market share and it has the bulletin feature that most others don't have.

    I've just been using MySpace, but I hadn't thought of marketing these others. They're all still huge markets. I guess it mostly depends on your target audience, since you'll still get mostly U.S. members if you target MySpace (which I think is what most people here probably want).

    i hv used orkut........ as my main target audience is Sikhs..and iresponse is okk okk....not that excellent as i expected.......spammin is blocked now.....

    i wish i could know some good sources to reach out Sikhs & Punjabis.:)

    Orkut is still catching up..moreover myspace is us centric and that'swhere big bucks are from online...as for marketing Vs Spam debate..it's individual view point..as long as there is no formal policy by the site itself...suite your morality

    Well, I never used orkut, So I have no idea about orkut. But i used myspace and I like that site very much and I am using that too.
