Some folks are still earning a few hundreds, thousands per month with them -- so it's still convertable, just harder to convert traffic in clicks and those clicks into big money but it's somewhat a cool challenge.

Not quite true, a lot of people are still making a lot of money from such things and people will always need proxies to some extent!

For anyone that's interested, I've set up the proxy ipv6proxy.net mainly as an experiment to see how it works and as a potential future resource. The proxy site is accessible over IPv4, but I'm only allowing connection to IPv6 sites at the moment (dual stack does work fine though).

I might make it into a more general IPv6 resource site at some point in the future, we'll see.

If advertisers were less strict and free domain spammers were non-existent, proxies would have been better money makers.

Looks really nice. But where would you place the google ads? I don't see any ads on that theme.

Interesting design, but the green background takes up too much space. I am also not sure if all topsites would approve your link, because topsite backlinks are not visible on the proxy homepage without user action).

You want free or paid? What admin options (examples)? Choices are limited these days, proxycoder's is still available and it's free, but not supported now developement has stopped. It's a bit fiddly to setup as well but you can get it from here: http://code.google.com/p/proxycoder/downloads/list

Depending on your experience you might be better to buy one ready made.

Proxycoder script has backlink options in admin, you can set to have backlink or not depending on listing plan, however, not having backlink is invitation to scumbags and spammers to submit cr*p (not proxies). Without backlink you may need 'submission approval' enabled, i.e. no automatic listing. Do you have a suitable domain for a listing site?

My lists are based on the 'atproxy' script which is only for beta testers atm, not for sale yet, tho' it will be one day (hopefully soon).

Anybody knows who owns freeproxyhosting.net? It is turning out to be a fail. I had some proxies on them and traffic to those proxies has died because their servers are slow as shit and mostly show this page with the massage. The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable.
    Please try again later.

It is right that nothing is free in this world. I am using this free hosting at the cost of visitors to my sites. btw youtube also doesn't work.

Edit: sorry if my post sounds as bitching. I guess no reason to complain since it is a free service. But anyways :p

You could find him here on DP somewhere, he has made some threads promoting his service already.

On a side-note, are there still proxy webmasters interested in bargain domains? These domains have nothing related to proxies so they're harder to get filtered. If you are, take a look at my thread here at DP, thanks.

Is anyone else experiencing an increase in Adsense earnings? 2 days ago I had a spike to $50 from $10 with no increase in traffic. And now Im getting 1.5x - 2x the revenue that I would normally get. On the same traffic.

That's awesome news! I have been talking to a few proxy owners lately and none of them had this actually, so I guess you're just lucky :)
