    Hello,

I'm planning to start my own web design business. But I'm curious what should be the best for my main email address?

    info@mydomain.com or design@mydomain or contact@mydomain...

Please kick me with your suggestions folks.

    Thanks in advance,
    John

info is the most generic form & what i would go for, Obviously for questions only, Also remember that generic emails are usually the target for spam, so make sure you have some descent spam filtering, or go for something less generic. :)

I like to have various emails e,g, support@, info@, offers@ etc. then if I am personally dealing with someone I would say here is my personal email myname@ which makes them feel special but for everyday stuff it is mail@

You want something that has your website name included in your email address. It looks more professional

    for general purpose.
    for contact(query) purpose.
    for any support related purpose.
    for your Design Staff.
    for your Sales Staff.
    billing@yourdomain for your Billing Staff.

    And so on...

    Hope it may help you.

You can either use sales@<your domain name> or support@<your domain name>, it's up to you really.

You are planning to start a web design business, so what I suggest is go for design@ with your email address, that will be more suitable and professional with your web designing business.

My final conclusion, he should have all of email ids i.e. info, sales, design, billing, support, contact, customercare etc etc...

is always for general inquiry purpose.

I think this is the best solution. However if you'll be dealing with the clients personally then you might consider to give it a more personal and less generic touch.

I agree with Sparks, Using your name gives it a personal touch and you won't fall victim to automated email bombers.

No so correct. Automated mail bombers don't skip your personal email id too if it is publicly visible somewhere.
