Money Transferred option to India, Xoom.com

Have anyone gone through xoom.com Is this service is reliable like western Union. Can anyone tell the details about this service

I've used it a few times before, it takes about 3-5 days for a bank transfer

 

What time it take, if I collect cash from delivery point in India. WU takes only seconds!!!

Yeah I use xoom, demand-draft is delivered in 2 days. I strongly advise against cash pickup, atleast in Mumbai because the xoom confirmation emails do not mention which pickup center your money is to be collected from & there are about 50 of them, you may end up visiting each of them

 

xoom is quick but remember u have 12 transactions annually so use it properly , its good for sure rather then waiting 17 days with a paypal cheque.

 

I used Xoom to transfer my paypal money to my bank account. It takes only like 12 hours to reach the money. Even their rate is less then WU rates.

Can I transfer my unvarified PayPal money directly into my any Indian bank account using xoom?

 

That will probably be rejected by xoom but you can give it a shot.

I am not sure if they reject all payments made by unverified paypal addresses. Give it a try. It's advisable that you use a verified paypal.

nope, to transfer money from paypal to bank using xoom you need to have a verified paypal. And also the name should be the same as in paypal to transfer money from paypal. That means some other paypal cant transfer money using some other xoom account.

I use the same name in my bank as well as my PP but only thing is that my PP is not varified...So, mine wont work?

 

If all the things are same, then why dont verify the account and then use xoom to transact money?

I wish I could lol , but I am still a student and don't have a credit card yet, though I am trying to get one soon...So I can't transfer the PP money to my Bank Account, but can I request a Demand Draft (from unvarified PP) using Xoom?

You dont need to use Credit card all the time to verify your paypal, you can use your bank account to verify your account. Go to your paypal account and check the account verification process help for more informations.

Nope, Xoom doesn't support DD.
