When I submit a link to StumbleUpon, there is a blog mode option.

    What does this option do?

    Thanks

Blog mode just allows you to submit your blog instead of a regular website. It's just their way of categorizing blogs and websites.

Just like the name goes it allows submission of blogs and not websites.

I tried it out and, unless I'm missing something, you're all incorrect.

When I made an entry in 'blog mode' it has a title, not a url. It actually creates a blog post with the text you specify.. it's like Tumblr. It makes a blog entry on StumbleUpon.

I tried to put a link to my blog post on StumbleUpon using blog mode but you can't. Blog mode in StumbleUpon isn't for submitting links.. its for putting text on THEIR site. Pretty stupid because it isn't documented anywhere.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, though.

yeah it's similar to Tumblr, when we choose that option then it asks for title rather than link. So I think we can add excerpt and link with the help of HTML.

You are absolutely CORRECT. I even wonder sometimes, people just shoot out the blinds ..... lol !!! The first couple of answers really amazed me. Friends, the blog mode has a completely different approach when you submit it. In one way you can see only urls which you have submitted and other way is you will have a thumbnail image as well as the title and content of your article displayed in short.

    Thanks China_girl!

I thought I was going crazy, haha.

I still can't believe I couldn't Google the answer, or when I did finally find someone say something about it, they were wrong too. I thought I was just missing something for a while - until I tried it a few times.
